JOB TITLE: Cluster General Manager Firenze/Siena

REPORTS TO: General Manager Cluster Collezione

LOCATION: Hotel Helvetia & Bristol Florence and Grand Hotel Continental Siena

Main Objectives

The Cluster General Manager Firenze/Siena is responsible for managing the assigned hotels portfolio and overall hotels strategies and business performance. He/She will be focusing on the following key objectives:

  • Identify Commercial and Marketing strategy to ensure short/mid-term revenue and profit growth through the definition of a 3 year Business Plan
  • Implement Operational Excellence with related best practices
  • Guest Experience Enhancement
  • Leadership and organizational development
  • Safety and Security

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Increase the profitability of the hotels within the assigned cluster, ensuring that revenue and guest satisfaction targets are exceeded
  • Coordinate and focus the Sales, Revenue and Marketing Departments while exerting leadership in all aspects of business development and planning
  • Set up achievable budgets for the assigned hotels, and set other short- and long- term strategic goals for the properties within the cluster
  • Efficiently monitors and contains costs
  • Monitor auditing activities on the assigned hotels to ensure compliance and continuous improvement is achieved
  • Provide insights for innovation and renewal in the service offer
  • Exerts leadership in all key property challenges including capital projects, refurbishment, and or general management issues
  • Ensures full compliance with Starhotels Service Standards and constantly provides his insights to improve/develop them
  • Manage and develop the team to ensure career progression, effective succession planning and talent management

 

The Cluster General Manager Firenze/Siena will be supported from all Headquarters Departments, such as: Sales and Marketing, Finance and Administration, Human Resources, Buying Office, Operational Office, Corporate Information systems, Technical and Maintenance Office.

 

Profile Requirements:

  • Graduate from a Hotel business school or other Bachelor’s degree in Business and Hospitality Management required
  • Luxury hotel experience is required
  • Excellent presentation, Diplomatic, Discreet, Positive
  • Hospitality and Audit skills
  • Perfect knowledge of computing environment: Opera, Excel, Word, Outlook and social networks
  • Excellent oral and communication skills in Italian and English (a third language would be highly appreciated)
  • Very good knowledge of F&B Department
  • Knowledge of safety and hygiene laws/rules is essential
  • Great attention to detail, analytical and organisational skills
  • Exceptional team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to reflect, learn from mistakes and respond positively to feedback
